This is my room, down in the living room. I am definitely ready to be done moving. Sadly this is still the first leg. We'll be unpacking into July!

Someone is looking out for me! HACC wasn't supposed to come out with the Fall 2014 book list until the end of next month. On a whim I checked the online bookstore and it was there! For my two classes this semester I only need 3 books. Two of the books I can get on my kindle for half price. So whooooo!

So mother finally got the email telling us where we'll be living! We have a nice two bedroom apartment to call home now. All we have left to do is empty the parsonage and get everything down to Nassau.... No biggie!

News 8 Update

This just in, missionary blogger, Rebecca Hosier, has been lost in an avalanche of clothing and Tupperware containers while trying to pack. Stay tuned to keep updated on our search for this missing hero.

Honestly, my blog looks really boring and empty. So to fix that I am going to post some pictures of where my mother and I lived in Grand Bahama. This is not where we will be returning to at the end of the month, but it gives a general idea of the area.

This is one of the many beaches on the island, sadly not much time was spent here.

At the old church, New Hope, in Freeport I was able to give the children's room a makeover. Our friend Jill helped me completely repaint the room from white to blue and paint a tree on the wall. We then allowed the children to paint their hands and add them as the leaves.

These are some of the children I worked with in Freeport. I will hopefully have a flourishing children's fellowship group in Nassau too.

High School Graduate

I've finally graduated Red Lion Senior High School! On Friday June 6, I received my diploma. It feels pretty awesome to not have to go to school on a Monday, though I almost rather do that than pack my room. Things are finally starting to feel real. I paid for my two college classes today. Got my picture taken for my worker's permit. Everything is starting to come together!

Welcome one and all

Hello! This blog is run by me, aka, Rebecca. I will be graduating from high school this month. Later this summer I will be returning to my home in the Bahamas, but I will not be going for senior week. My family and I will be going as missionaries for Bahamas Methodist Conference. We will be in Nassau, New Providence which is most commonly known for Atlantis. Sadly that is not where we'll be. We will be in Fox Hill. My mother is a Reverend and will be preaching at two local churches. My father will be working for Bahamas Methodist Habitat. I will be working with children and youth in the community.

I plan on keeping this blog as updated as I can with what I am doing. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, about my work or my parents.
